Having not had a league nor cup match since the previous Scottish Cup encounter on the 6th September Postal welcomed St Andrews BC AFC. Postal, in its history, had never been past the second round of the Scottish cup so the current squad had an opportunity to make history.

First Half
St Andrews BC AFC got the game underway.
3rd minute: Riddell early free kick was well saved after a foul on Wallace.
4th minute: Phil was fouled on the edge of the box and made no mistake from the resulting free kick, drilling the ball low into the bottom right corner. 1–0 Postal. Great free kick.
9th minute: Good work from Harry earned a corner. Abel’s delivery found Sully, whose header went narrowly wide.
12th minute: Neat play down the right saw Harry fire just over the bar.
14th minute: A diagonal ball from Riddell found an eager runner in Bruce Webster, who crossed for Harry, who in turn squared to Sully. One-on-one with the keeper, Sully’s effort was saved at point blank range.
16th minute: Harry teed up Doug, whose shot was stopped by the keeper.
18th minute: Steele went close, shooting wide from distance.
25th minute: Riddell delivered another teasing cross which Sully headed wide.
26th minute: Abel’s corner was met by Phil, who powered home his header. 2–0 to Postal. Great delivery and determination to slam the ball home.
30th minute: A long ball from Riddell found Sully, who brought it down, beat two defenders, and smashed home to make it 3 – 0.
35th minute: Another Abel corner found Sully, but his header went over the bar.
38th minute: Phil controlled the ball in the box, beat his man, and curled a superb finish into the top corner to complete his hat-trick and make the score line 4 – 0. Excellent finish.
43rd minute: Excellent link-up play ended with a Doug shot, well saved by the keeper.
45th minute: Harry played in Sully, who cut inside and shot just wide of the top corner.

Second Half
46th minute: St Andrews pulled one back after a strong run from the substitute number 14. 14 collected the ball and rode 3 or 4 challenges from Postal before slipping in number 9 who made no mistake in dispatching past Cormack in the Postal goal.
55th minute: Brechin was booked for a foul; the resulting free kick hit the wall.
57th minute: Sully held up play on the edge of the box and laid off to Doug, whose left-footed effort went wide.
60th minute: Harry cut inside, beat two defenders, and curled a shot destined for the top corner, only for the keeper to pull off a fine save. Doug’s rebound was blocked on the line before Abel struck the post.
61st Min – Veitch replaces Russell.
65th minute - Wallace played in Abel, who controlled well in the box and smashed it into the top corner. 5–1 Postal
67th minute – Patterson, MacKenzie, Christianson, and Buggie replace Wallace, Abel, Webster and Ahmed.
70th minute: From a corner, Brechin rose highest and hit the post with the rebound.
80th minute: A cross into the box saw Harry free to head home however number 4 nipped in and cleared the ball.
82nd minute: Free kick. Vinnie’s delivery was controlled by Brechin, who fired past the keeper. 6–1 Postal
84th minute: Vinnie lifted a ball over the top to Andreas, who cut it back to Duncan. His shot hit the post, and Harry blasted the rebound over.

A dominant all-round performance from Postal, brilliant in attack and defence. Special mention to Wallace who is hitting a rich vein of form, highlighted by a first half hattrick today.
