Postal faced a tough test against an unbeaten Kincorth side who have started the season strongly, picking up 4 wins and 2 draws while conceding just 3 goals.

Postal were looking to respond after last week’s 3-1 defeat to Fyvie, with a strong performance.

Postal kicked the game off.

Postal started positively, with Phil Wallace and Aaran Walker involved in some promising attacking play. In the 15th minute, Walker produced a brilliant piece of play to send a dangerous cross into the box, but Craig Mackie fired wide. Moments later, James Steele's short free-kick found Wallace, whose curling effort narrowly missed the target.

Kincorth threatened at the other end, with Connor Graham forced into action in the eighth minute to keep out a powerful effort from Kincorth's number nine.

The breakthrough eventually came in the 22nd minute. Walker was beaten to the ball on the right, allowing Kincorth to deliver into the box. Their number 10 was left unmarked and headed beyond Graham to put the hosts 1-0 ahead.

Postal continued to look for a response, with Jones unable to connect with another dangerous Walker cross before a promising attack saw Wallace's shot blocked and Walker's follow-up comfortably saved.

Postal were dealt another blow in the 35th minute when Joe Wadley was forced off through injury, with Harry McAuley coming on.

Kincorth doubled their advantage just before the break. A dangerous cross from the left found the number nine in acres of space, allowing him to tap home and make it 2-0.

Graham then produced another good save to deny Kincorth's number nine before half-time, while Postal survived another dangerous attack as bodies were thrown in the way to clear the danger.

A tough first half for Postal. We started promisingly creating a few opportunities. But lapses at the back allowed the Kincorth attackers easy finishes for their goals which is disappointing from our perspective.

Kincorth kicked off the second half.

Walker and Jones were replaced by F.Stewart and Phillips in the 49th minute, but Kincorth quickly extended their lead.

In the 54th minute, Postal failed to clear their lines and Kincorth's number nine took full advantage, calmly placing the ball into the bottom corner to make it 3-0.

Just 11 minutes later, Kincorth's number 10 was afforded space from range and unleashed an excellent strike into the corner to make it 4-0.

The hosts continued to dominate and came close to a fifth when a dangerous cross found their number 15, whose header struck the post.

The fifth eventually arrived in the 69th minute. A Kincorth corner looped over Graham and directly into the net.

Kincorth added a sixth in the 75th minute after Postal once again failed to deal with a ball into the box, allowing the number 10 to attempt an overhead kick which found the net.

Postal did have a couple of late efforts. McAuley did well to roll his man but his eventual shot lacked power and was comfortably gathered by the goalkeeper, before Steele was booked and later fired an effort straight at the Kincorth keeper.

There was no way back for Postal as the final whistle confirmed a 6-0 defeat.

A hugely disappointing afternoon for Postal, who were competitive in spells during the first half but were ultimately punished by Kincorth's attacking quality.

The second half was particularly difficult, with four goals conceded and Postal struggling to contain a Kincorth side that grew in confidence as the game went on. Disappointing as we didn’t lay a glove against a very strong side.
