Postal kicked off the match knowing a win or a draw would see them take home the first ever Kingsford Cup.

5th min Marko wins the ball in the air flicking onto Alex.  With the goal gapping Alex squared to Abel who seen his shot blocked on the line.

17th min Phil Wallace shot goes wide, not going out of play Abel recovers the ball, squaring to Phil again who seen his shot blocked on the line.

25th min a Buggie corner is met by Brechin however again his header is blocked on the line.

27th min corner to Postal Dobbs tries an overhead kick that goes wide.

This pattern would continue for the remainder of the half with Abel, Wallace, Russell all having shots go wide of the target.

On the 50th min the game sparked into life.  Doug ball into Marko seen the striker control on his chest then unleash a shot into the bottom right hand corner from 20 yards. Great goa.

52nd min Postal should have been out of sight.  Harry headed the ball into the path of Wallace who crossed for Russell however the winger somehow missed the target.

The winger would get his goal though on the 65th min.  A Buggie crosses looked odds on for the defender to win however Russell rose highest to power home his goal.

2 - 0

89th min the tie was over as a contest as Wallace released Harry who slotted past the keeper.

FT

3 - 0

Great performance from Postal who take the Kingsford Cup.  Special mention to Doug Russell who ended up as top scorer for the competition.
