Postal ALC produced an impressive attacking display to secure a convincing 6-2 victory over Continental, creating chances throughout and showing their quality in front of goal.

Continental got proceedings underway, but it was Postal who fashioned the first opportunity inside the opening minute. Andrew Riddell spotted the run of Andreas with a perfectly weighted through ball that split the defence. Andreas raced clear but lost sight of the ball at the crucial moment and was unable to apply the finishing touch.

The breakthrough arrived in the 6th minute. Fletcher won possession from the Continental right-back before laying the ball back to James Steele. Steele delivered an excellent cross to the back post where Andreas arrived to power a header beyond the goalkeeper and give Postal a deserved 1-0 lead.

Only two minutes later, Postal doubled their advantage with another well-worked move. Alex switched play brilliantly to Bruce Webster on the left, whose pinpoint left-footed cross found Marko in the box. Marko made no mistake with the finish to make it 2-0.

Postal's relentless start continued in the 10th minute. Fletcher was again the provider, sending an inviting cross into the area where Alex arrived to finish confidently and extend the lead to 3-0.

Just a minute later, some excellent combination play through midfield between Hammy and Alex carved Continental open once more. Hamiltons effort was well struck, but the goalkeeper reacted well to keep it out.

Postal continued to dominate possession and nearly added a fourth in the 25th minute. Fletcher robbed the defender of possession before releasing Dillion down the flank. His cross found Marko just four yards from goal, but somehow the Continental goalkeeper produced an outstanding save to deny him.

Despite Postal's control, Continental pulled a goal back just before the interval. A throw-in on Postal's right-hand side eventually fell kindly to the Continental number nine, who drilled a low finish into the bottom-left corner to reduce the deficit to 3-1 at half-time.

Postal restored their three-goal cushion six minutes after the restart. Riddell delivered an excellent free-kick into the penalty area where Harry met it sweetly on the volley, firing home to make it 4-1.

Another Riddell delivery almost produced a fifth in the 55th minute. After a short corner routine, the ball was worked back to Riddell, whose cross found Harry again. His powerful header looked destined for the net, but the goalkeeper made another fine save.

The fifth goal eventually arrived on the hour mark. Ross Webster threaded an excellent through ball into Harry, whose shot squeezed under the goalkeeper. As the ball slowed on its way towards goal, Andreas reacted quickest to bundle it over the line and claim his second goal of the afternoon.

Postal remained on the front foot and came close again in the 65th minute when James Steele rose highest from a corner but headed narrowly over the crossbar.

Continental grabbed a second goal in unusual circumstances in the 70th minute. A Postal free-kick saw Riddell play a short pass to Vinnie, who was dispossessed. Robbie worked hard to win the ball back, but a misplaced short pass was intercepted by ex Postie, Serg Cotovici, who capitalised to make it 5-2.

Postal continued to attack. Fletcher delivered another dangerous cross in the 75th minute, this time finding Vinnie, whose ambitious overhead kick sailed just over the crossbar.

Two minutes later, Riddell came inches away from adding his name to the scoresheet as his superb free-kick crashed against the crossbar.

Harry then had the chance to complete his brace in the 85th minute after being brought down inside the penalty area. He stepped up to take the spot-kick himself but unfortunately lifted his effort over the bar.

Postal rounded off an excellent performance in the 89th minute. A cleverly worked quick corner allowed Riddell to whip another dangerous cross into the box, where Murray flicked the ball home to complete a deserved 6-2 victory.
