Postal returned to league duty facing Bon Accord at Webster Park. After victory against Dee United in the Dickie Trophy the home side fielded the same starting 11.

Bon Accord kicked off, but it was Postal who immediately imposed themselves on the game.
Inside three minutes Webster played Clark down the Postal left, whose cross found Wallace arriving with a diving header that forced the goalkeeper into an early save.
The pressure continued a minute later when Wallace won a corner. Riddell’s delivery picked out Abel completely free, though the wingers header went wayward the ball then broke to Wallace who seen his follow-up striking the defender’s hand however no penalty was awarded.
Postal kept probing. Ahmed drove up the line in the 5th minute before delivering a cross to Abel, whose effort deflected into the goalkeeper’s hands. Soon after, Riddell found Ahmed in the box, with his blocked shot falling to Wallace, who fired narrowly wide.
The home side continued to create openings. Clark crossed for Ahmed in the 13th minute, who headed the ball back to Wallace, but his effort flew over the bar. A minute later Clark again delivered into the box but Ahmed narrowly missed the connection.
From another Riddell corner on 15 minutes, Webster rose highest but headed over.
16 minutes into the game and Postal could easily have been four up and cruising. A great start but frustration for the Postal management as chance after chance went a begging.
Webster squared for Wallace on 20 minutes but the shot cleared the crossbar, while Abel also fired over shortly afterwards from a throw-in.
In the 22nd minute Ahmed cut inside and curled a superb effort that forced a strong save from the Bon Accord keeper. Webster then tried his luck from distance but saw his shot drift wide.
Despite controlling possession and territory, Postal were unable to convert their chances — and they were punished.
On 30 minutes Bon Accord took the lead. A long punt forward from the Bon Accord keeper was controlled by their number 16, who unleashed a powerful strike from around 30 yards that beat Walker and found the Postal net.

Bon Accord nearly doubled their advantage soon after. From a corner no Postal player attacked the ball, allowing number 4 to win the aerial duel and knock it down for number 16, whose close-range effort was heroically blocked on the line by Webster.
Postal continued to push for an equaliser before the break. Ahmed cut inside and shot from distance in the 39th minute but the keeper saved well.
Just before halftime Abel delivered a corner that found Ahmed at the back post, but he couldn’t convert the opportunity. In the final moments of the half Wallace fed Ahmed down the flank, whose cross found Abel. He squared the ball back to Wallace but his effort struck a defender on the line.
Dowbekin was booked just before the interval as Postal went into the break frustrated.

Postal found themselves down by one goal however completely dominated the first half of football at Webster. The management team requested more composure in front of goal however had no real issues in the style of play or attitude of the players on the pitch.
On the 48th minute following a foul on Wallace, Postal thought they had tied the game when a Riddell free kick rattled the bar. Great effort from the Postal right back however disaster would strike again moments later.
On 50 minutes confusion down Postal’s right side saw no one take control of a loose ball. Bon Accord’s number 4 slipped a pass into the box for number 16, who tapped home from close range.

The setback only seemed to galvanise the home side though who gritted their teeth and drove forward.
On 55 minutes Ahmed brought the ball down in the penalty area, dribbled past his marker and hammered a powerful finish into the net Mbappe esk. Great finish to start the come back.

Just a minute later Postal were handed a huge boost. Duncan MacKenzie launched a long ball forward to Wallace, who was brought down by Bon Accord’s number 4 as he raced through on goal. The referee showed the away side defender a straight red card.
Riddell stepped up to take the resulting free kick and smashed the ball into the net to level the scores. Great goal and great strike.

With the extra man Postal dominated possession for the remainder of the match. McAuley was booked on 65 minutes before Postal went close from a corner five minutes later but couldn’t force the ball over the line.
Brechin replaced Dowbekin on 70 minutes as Postal continued to press. Bon Accord nearly regained the lead when their number 5 headed wide from a corner in the 72nd minute.
Postal created several chances late on. Wallace fired over in the 74th minute before Abel crossed for him again moments later, but Phil’s left-footed effort drifted wide.
With ten minutes remaining Wallace reached the byline and pulled the ball back to McAuley, whose shot slipped under his foot and went harmlessly wide. Soon after McAuley had another opportunity in the box but saw two efforts blocked by Bon Accord’s number 5.
Wallace came close again in the 88th minute when he met Clark’s cross with a header, but the keeper saved.
Just as the game looked destined to end level, Abel produced a moment of pure brilliance. 90th minute Riddell played the ball up the line to Abel, who skipped past the defender before curling a superb outside-of-the-foot finish into the top corner. An unbelievable finish worthy of winning any game of football at any level.

Postal could have added further goals in stoppage time. McAuley forced a save when Wallace was free nearby, Ahmed couldn’t quite control in the box when set up by Steele, and Abel fired over when played through by McAuley in the final moments.
But the late drama didn’t matter — Postal had already done enough to secure a memorable comeback victory.
Postal completely dominated the match, only frustration for the management team will be the lack of care in the final third as the team should have scored a lot more today. Great mentality from the squad though coming back from two goals down and scoring a last minute winner against stuffy opposition.
