2 min into the game Postal seen a corner swung in only for the Kintore keeper to claim the ball.

3 min Postal won another corner played low into the box for Phil Wallace only to see the midfielder mistime his strike and the ball head wide.

Postal were the team on top at the start of the game and on 9 min an Abel corner was met by McAuley who headed wide.

A scare for Postal on 10 min, with Brechin in control of the ball, the ball bobbled up and went straight to number 9 who raced towards goal however Cormack saved the strikers shot.  From the resultant save Cormack sent the ball deep into the Kintore half.  Flicked on the ball landed to Clark, who seen his first touch fail him and the ball go into the safety of the keepers hands.

On the 12th minute good play by Wallace seen him swing the ball in from the Postal right however McAuley couldn’t grow tall enough to connect.

Kintore started to come into the game, especially dangerous at set pieces, on 15 min a Kintore corner was met by number 8.  Goal bound Webster cleared the ball off the line to number 10 who shot at goal only for Webster to again clear off the line.  Great defending.

On 17 min MacKenzie controlled the ball on the right, breezed past two defenders and swung in a left footed cross to McAuley, however again just out of reach.

On 20 min Postal should have taken the lead, a great ball over the Kintore defence by McAuley released Abel.  The winger seemed to delay unleashing his shot and in doing so let the keeper get set, his shot was then saved however rebounded to Wallace who seen his diving header go wide.  Real opportunity for Postal.

30 min MacKenzie had a long range effort go wide for what was to be the only action of note in the half.

0 – 0

The start of the second half seen Kintore in the ascendancy with Postal looking like a team that had played 3 games in 5 days.

On 55 min Abel was replaced by Russell.  60 min a Kintore pass back to the keeper seen him chest it out for a corner.

61st min Lee Scott replaced Wallace.

65th min Lee Scott tried a cheeky free kick that the keeper saved with ease.

70 min Postal made the changes that would change the game.  Duncan Paterson replaced McAuley, and Martin Maciver replaced MacKenzie.

75th min direct from a throw in Lee Scott picked up the ball and advanced down the Postal left, his cross took out the entire Kintore defence to find Russell at the back post totally unmarked however his shot went wide with the goal gapping.

Postal were not attacking at will with Paterson, Maciver, Russell and Scott bringing much needed legs to the team.

76th min Clark was upended, taking the free kick himself the keeper saved.

78th min Russell chipped the ball over his marker, raced through on goal but seen the keeper equal to his strike.

On the 84th min Russell again would advance down the Postal right, this time being brought down in the box for a penalty to Postal.   Paterson stepped up and made no mistake.

1 – 0

88th min and the last action of the game Paterson was release and advanced through on goal, seeing the keeper rush out he went for the chipped effort however seen the ball go wide.

Great performance by  a tired Postal tonight away from home.  Defensively sound special praise goes to the boys on the bench who came on and made all the difference to the team and pushed us over the line for the 3 points.
